PhD position

We are looking for one or two new graduate students who are enthusiastic about science. We offer an excellent working environment with new equipment and interesting projects. Students will have their own projects which they can work on in a creative and independent way. Applicants should hold a Diploma/M.Sc. degree in Physics, Chemistry or Biology.

Postdoc position

Currently no funding is available for an addditional postdoc in the Ulbrich lab. However, if you are able to raise funds from a funding agency for a period of at least 18 months, you are welcome to work on your own project in our lab. Prerequisite for a successful project are a good publication track from the PhD work and the ability to work independently. Ideally, the candidate has a biophysics or neuroscience background.
Applicants are expected to design a research project that is based on single molecule imaging or another novel imaging technique, that has a strong biological impact and is likely to result in a publication within the time of the funding period.
